When setting up a site on the Post Loop Dashboard, it wants daily posts and writers, which is pretty straightforward. When adding the connection, the on-site settings bring those over, but now it also wants Delivery Targets. These kind of sound like totals. So if I want 10 posts daily and set a total for 100, after 10 days of 10 posts, what happens? Does it stop the orders? Is there a way to bypass it? Or does it work differently than I think it does?

First of all, it’s a trial. Postloop works differently from firm packages to allowed daily engagement. You set a limit, for example 10 posts per day, during 10 days. Ideally, writers reserve their daily allowance, and you’ll see that kind of engagement on your forum.

It’s not a guarantee you’ll have 10 posts per day, but it’s a guarantee, no one will exceed that. They can, but it’s not tracked and paid from your credits.

We may slightly change it where writers can reserve multiple days, but I think it’s better if writers do the reservation on a daily basis.

The Delivery Totals only exist in the installed app, so my main question is: if I set daily to, say, 10 posts a day and the Delivery Total to 25 topics and 75 posts. How exactly does it all come together? If someone is posting 10 posts a day and on day 8, they only posted replies (which the delivery total is 75), do they not earn credit for 5 of their 10 posts?

If I am not worried about a total, should I just set these to absurd numbers like 10,000 each? There does not appear to be a way to just use a daily quota.

I’m just not sure what the setting is for. E.g., if I set the Daily Total to 10 and the Delivery Total to also 10, does my listing pause auto after the first day or posting? (I know daily posting isn’t promised).

You have it right, and I’ll need to rephrase this to make it more clear. The Delivery targets are running totals per content type for the life of the connection, not per day. The daily limits control pace. The targets control the overall size of the job. When a target is reached, that content type simply stops being reservable until you raise the number in the AdminCP. The listing stays live and nothing is charged. Writers reserve before they post, so they can never earn less than they reserved. They just cannot reserve past the total. Anything posted without a reservation is not tracked or paid. If you do not want a ceiling, set both targets high. The maximum is 100,000, it holds no credits, and the only effect is the progress counter on your side. I will add a clearer explanation and look at an unlimited option.
