Absolutely. My favourite chair is on its third repair. There’s a story in keeping it going.

Are smart home automation routines actually useful, or do they cause tech headaches?

I swear down, all these smart home automation gadgets are not what people say they are. I get frustrated with mine every nine and then. It's worse especially if you have unstable electricity. Don't get me wrong, the smart routine makes sense in places where electricity is steady.

These devices tend to be quite low power. 🤔 Are there specific ones you have a problem with?

Though it takes some technical knowledge and fiddling, you will probably get more out of devices that are open source and work alongside Home Assistant. Then you don't have to worry about the company shutting down and your devices losing functionality.
