Absolutely. My favourite chair is on its third repair. There’s a story in keeping it going.

Favorite Laptop brand?

What’s your favorite/go-to laptop brand(s)?

For me, when it comes to gaming laptops, I tend to go with Dell/Alienware. I have had the least amount of hardware issues with them. Software can be hit-or-miss, Windows gonna Windows….but I haven’t had too much trouble with Alienware.

As for work laptops, I tend to go for Macbooks, they’re just cleaner and easier to work/code/write with in my personal opinion, plus I have an IPhone so getting my text messages coming through my laptop when i’m doing other things on it makes things a bit easier for sure.

What do you think? What laptop brands do you like to use?

My favorite laptop brand is HP. It's very durable and affordable too. Those two qualities are what I look for. Dell and Lenovo are also good but Hp takes the cake for me.

I enjoyed using my HP Pavilion before it received the Black Screen of Death. But I also enjoy my Google Chromebook that I’m on now. I’m somewhat of a minimalist that mainly uses my laptop for internet usage, so a Google Chromebook suits me well.

Alienware machines are absolute tanks when it comes to cooling and raw gaming performance. Since my workload revolves around software engineering, compiling iOS and Android builds in Flutter, running Docker containers, and testing web apps, my go-to laptop brand is Apple with the Apple Silicon MacBook series, alongside Lenovo ThinkPads when I want a rugged Linux or Windows machine.

The battery life on modern ARM laptops spoiled me because I can code unplugged for hours without hunting for a wall outlet.
