Absolutely. My favourite chair is on its third repair. There’s a story in keeping it going.

How Property Appreciation Works?

Many people buy property with the hope that the value of property will increase. Properties located in areas with more business opportunities and less crike rates appreciate faster. Overall economic growth of the country also plays a major role as well. So, how does property appreciation work?

We have not capitalized on the property we bought but built our retirement home on it and today it is worth far more than what we bought at. It is now gifted to a Trust and I am a Trusty and continue to live there.

Property appreciation is associated with several factors. The value of property increases when the location of the property is good. My family's house is located at a good location and this is why it has a good value. So, location matters a lot.

Property value goes up due to inflation. Assets get bought up by essentially monopoly money by banks which increase the price of those assets. If you priced property in gold, however, which is what was used as money for thousands of years you would see that property actually costs less gold to buy now than before.
