Do you take pictures of foods before eating?
Many people take pictures of food before consuming them. I am not sure why people do that. However, I generally do not take pictures of food before consuming meals. So, do you also take pictures of food before consuming them?
No, and not only do I find it strange, I usually see it as one of those things people do that absolutely no one around them cares about, yet they still brag about it. There are exceptions, of course. If you take a trip to Japan and get authentic ramen, sure, share that. If you make some wild cake design for a once‑in‑a‑lifetime event, that makes sense too. But nobody needs an update when someone eats chicken and rice for the fourth time this week.
That said, I’ll play devil’s advocate. A lot of people mix healthier eating with a bit of showing off on social media. As long as they’re not belittling anyone who isn’t eating the same way and they’re just posting for their own satisfaction, there’s really no harm in it. If the “worst” thing someone is doing is eating healthier and sharing a picture, I can scroll past without being bothered.

I think that people take photos of food because they may want to show others what they are eating. I have never taken pictures of food except on one occasion. I was eating prawn with rice and I really want to take photo of hat dish. Except that, I have never taken photo of any food.
Not on a daily basis but if I have plans to write a post on them I surely do. I recently had a few of my nieces over who spent a day with me and I did take a video of what I had cooked for them as I was talking about each dish and how it was made
I do not generally take pictures of food before consuming them. However, I have seen many people doing this and I do not understand the reason behind that. I once took a picture of food to send it to someone because I wanted to tell them what I am eating.
