Absolutely. My favourite chair is on its third repair. There’s a story in keeping it going.

If you were to build a website would you want to start from scratch or would you prefer to use Wordpress or a similar CMS software?

For me I have a couple of sites that I built using Wordpress. It's a lot easier this way because the mainframe is already set up and I can add plugins as I need to.

I’d much rather use WordPress.

I haven’t done HTML in decades LOL

I prefer Google Sites, its quite easy to use. Well I do alter the template & design from time to time.

Well, I guess I don’t see any further issues here. Google Sites & Go Daddy.

HTML 😂, thats long gone! You’ll need to buy dinosaur egg, while you at it.

Now I’m doing custom stuff while I learn programming by building my own blogging software.

So, I’m starting with HTML5 and CSS and learning them from scratch again, haha.

WordPress is tough to beat when you want a content-heavy site up quickly with a familiar editor. Personally, I almost always build from scratch, or use frameworks like Python/Flask, Next.js, and Tailwind, because most of my projects involve custom logic like real-time WebSockets, booking workflows, or interactive tools that get clunky inside a traditional CMS.

My own portfolio runs as a fast custom site on GitHub Pages with zero database overhead or plugin security patches to worry about.
