What is your primary strategy for managing personal budgets and saving money?
To say the truth, it's not easy to save money in the present time where the prices of food and transport fares double every now and then. I wrote down a strict budget last month, I cut down on some expensses to give room for savings, but an emergency occured out of nowhere and all the money was gone. So, how do you manage to save money in this difficult economy?
For my family we save every month in fiat currency and in precious metals. It's not as much as I would like to save, and I don't trust having a lot in the bank, but better than nothing.
I generally like seeing the number in my bank account go up, so I just don’t spend outside of my typical living expenses.
When it comes to lifestyle/non-critical purchases, my main strategy is be extremely spiteful to old, rich white men in suits. When I go to make a purchase, I think about whether it’s going to an old, rich white man in a suit. And if it is, I choose not to buy it. Turns out this is most things.
(I still spend way too much on food delivery apps, however.)
